Welcome to Waynakay Chile, our movement of young family physicians. Here you’ll have our basic information, and links to our english content.

Waynakay Movement (MWy) is a non-profit organization without political or religious ties, consisting of young family physicians, that is, family medicine residents and graduates of up to 5 years in the field, from Latin America. Waynakay (youth, in Quechua) was launched on May 19, 2010 in the framework of the 19th World Congress of Family Medicine, WONCA in Cancun, Mexico, in the context of similar movements in Europe (Vasco da Gama Movement, since 2004) and Asia (Rajakumar Movement, since 2007)

In Chile the MWy is presented openly in the  XIII Chilean Congress of Family Medicine in October 2011. Our Chilean representative is Dr. Karina Villarroel, Family Doctor from Universidad de Valparaíso. Today, the main team in Waynakay Chile represents physicians from 5 out of 6 Family Medicine University programs.
